With Tolansky, conductor Sir Antonio Pappano (Music Director of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and Music Director of this exhibition) and Kate Bailey (Curator of this exhibition) lead you through two of the seven operas included in this exhibition: Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro (1786), and Strauss’s Salomé (1905). They survey the music of these operas, the European cities in which each premiered, and the historical and cultural impact of each work.
