Songs to texts from “Des Knaben Wunderhorn” by Achim von Arnim and Clemens Brentano set to music by Johannes Brahms and others and selected folk songs

The festival finale is a promise for the future. In the final concert of the current Liedakademie year, the young Lied singers and pianists will present the results of their in-depth work over four course units with Thomas Hampson and Susan Manoff. The Akademie will also contribute to the Brahms focus of Heidelberger Frühling 2024: all participants will perform a Brahms setting from “Des Knaben Wunderhorn” as well as another Brahms song.
